Nov. 27-30

This week is our first field trip!  We will visit a children’s theater to see a play.  While we will discuss it at school, please help students remember what a good audience member does and doesn’t do. Also, you don’t need to send a bag lunch as we will come back to school to eat lunch. We are leaving right away so if you drop your first grader off at school, please make sure they are here by 9:00 so they don’t miss the bus and our fieldtrip. Don’t forget to send in your child’s permission slip! Thanks!

This week is also the last week of the trimester.  We will be reassessing students on how they are progressing towards the first grade targets.  Look for report cards to be sent home next Wednesday.

Reading targets: analyzing characters

Writing targets: choice writing

Phonics: ending blends (like pest)

Math targets: adding & unit test

Sight words: about, out, many, them, then
Theme: food groups
